Arrival and Transfer Guide to Kyoto

From Kansai International Airport (KIX):

  • Train: JR Haruka Express to Kyoto Station (75 min, ¥2,850–¥3,500).
  • Bus: Airport Limousine Bus (1.5 hrs, ¥1,500–¥2,000).

From Tokyo (Narita/Haneda):

  • Train: Narita Express to Tokyo Station → JR Tokaido Shinkansen to Kyoto (3–5 hrs, ¥14,000–¥15,000).
  • Haneda: Direct Shinkansen connection available.

From Nagoya (Centrair):

  • Train: Meitetsu μ-Sky to Nagoya Station → JR Tokaido Shinkansen to Kyoto (2–3 hrs, ¥4,500–¥5,500).

From Osaka Itami (ITM):

  • Train: JR trains (1–1.5 hrs, ¥560–¥1,000).
  • Bus: Airport Limousine Bus (1–1.5 hrs, ¥1,000–¥1,500).

To Kurama Station from Kyoto Station:

  1. JR Nara Line: Kyoto → Tofukuji (¥150–¥200).
  2. Keihan Line: Tofukuji → Demachiyanagi (¥270–¥300).
  3. Eizan Electric Railway: Demachiyanagi → Kurama (¥410–¥500).

Total Estimated Cost: ¥830–¥1,000 | Duration: 1–1.5 hrs.
